Dementia Research Consensus Forum

DNNI and the Alzheimer Society of Ireland recently hosted a Dementia Research Consensus Forum on 10th April in Dublin. 

Thank you to all those who joined us on the day to discuss dementia research prioritisation and research funding. We are now preparing a report based on the roundtable feedback which will be available shortly.

Headspace2018 - A Great Success!

DNNI (Dementia and Neurodegeneration Network Ireland), in collaboration with Creative Aging International and other partners hosted Headspace2018 on Friday 27th & Saturday 28th April 2018 in Trinity College Dublin.

ASI - Alz Talks Channel

The ASI is very proud to share their AlzTalks You Tube channel.

The Alz Talks, designed to be an innovative way to to open up a conversation on dementia and challenge stigma, feature people living with dementia, carers and musicians and were recorded in October 2016.

BNA 2017 FESTIVAL OF NEUROSCIENCE

The BNA will be holding its international FESTIVAL OF NEUROSCIENCE 10-13 April 2017 at the ICC, Birmingham.

BNA2017 delegates can expect a jam-packed scientific programme with the top experts in their field offering research findings from the hottest topics in neuroscience, as well as many other activites including public events and workshops.

13th​ International Conference on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases and Related Neurological Disorders

The Conference is at the forefront of unraveling the mechanisms and improving the treatment of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other related neurodegenerative diseases. AD/PDTM Conferences uniquely combine distinct neurodegenerative diseases in one setting and examine their similarities and differences; a strong focus is mechanisms of disease, prevention and therapy. The forthcoming AD/PDTM meeting, in 2017 will take place in Vienna, Austria, one of the most classical cities in Europe.       

6th European Conference on Clinical Neuroimaging (ECCN 2017)

The 2017 conference will gather physicians and researchers of all imaging modalities (PET, MRI, SPECT) under the auspices of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM). 
This conference will be an opportunity to review some of the major aspects of neuroimaging in neurology and psychiatry while studying new research perspectives in these fields.
It will focus on MRI, PET  imaging, as well as new imaging modalities such as PET/MR, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson's Disease, ALS, Neuroinflammation, tau imaging and other brain diseases. 

11th ANNUAL DRUG DISCOVERY FOR NEURODEGENERATION CONFERENCE

An Educational Course on Translating Research into Drugs

This didactic conference will educate scientists on the processes of translating basic research into novel therapies and will leave participants with a strong knowledge base and relevant resources to address the associated barriers and challenges in developing a drug.

The programs will also highlight case studies of small molecule and biologics programs at different stages of development aimed at tackling challenging CNS targets relevant to neurodegenerative diseases.

Molecular Neurodegeneration

This course provides an overview of the molecular basis of neurodegeneration and the development of treatment strategies to combat neurodegenerative disorders. The programme will focus on several disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Fragile X, Spinocerebellar ataxia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. There are many parallels between different neurodegenerative disorders and the course will examine the common themes across neurodegenerative processes.
