Research interests
My research interests include cognitive reserve, factors associated with successful ageing, brain health and the prevention of dementia and age-related cognitive decline. I am interested in the identifcation of risk and protective factors for dementia, and lifestyle interventions for brain health and dementia prevention. I also have an interest in the impact of psychosocial factors on cognition and on the well-being of older adults. I have also worked on science communication projects aimed at raising awareness of dementia, reducing stigma and translating research findings into formats that are accessible to the general public.
