Project Aim(s): Our overall aim is to revise existing phenotypic classifications using pathways and network analyses to generate newer more biologically classifications based on causative mechanisms, potential new therapeutic drug targets and indications, treatment response profiles and clinical sub-phenotypes. We will do this for genetically complex neurodegenerative diseases AD, PD, ALS, FTD, CBD, MSA and PSP, and biologically linked neuropsychiatric disease, such as schizophrenia (SCZ), using highly innovative yet feasible methods, many of which we have pioneered, in our huge, often unique datasets comprising tens of thousands of people.
