He will be followed by PhD students Daniel Araya and Men Hoang who will discuss specific aspects of health economics in relation to dementia.

Dominic Trépel, TCD -- Dominic Trépel is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin and faculty for the Global Brain Health Institute and Trinity School of Medicine. He is also primary investigator in Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN) where he directs Trépel lab (www.healtheconomics.ie).
Daniel Araya, TCD -- Daniel Araya Ríos is currently doing a Ph.D. at Trinity College Dublin, where his research focuses on understanding how individual preferences for health-related behaviors impact brain health. Before his current research, Daniel gained experience in the economics of tobacco, alcohol, and sugar-sweetened control. His work aims to develop improved public policies to promote healthy behaviors by understanding these choices. In this webinar, Daniel will introduce the use of Discrete Choice Experiments as a method to elicit individual preferences for health-related choices in the context of dementia, such as medications and healthcare utilisation.
Men Hoang, TCD -- Men Hoang a PhD student in Health Economics at Trinity College Dublin, and her PhD project is "economic evaluation of interventions for Dementia". Men holds a BA in Economics, and a MSc in Health Economics and Management from a joint multidisciplinary program of four universities including Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), University of Oslo (Norway), University of Bologna (Italy), and Management Center Innsbruck (Austria), with specialisation in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare. Men has published 28 articles, three of which she was the first/co-first author of, published in journals indexed in both Scopus and ISI databases. Her research interests are economic evaluation, ageing and public health.
