This event gives attendess the opportunity to hear our guest speakers address pertinent end of life matters for older people and carers. This workshop is open to health professionals from acute practice and long term care, students, researcher and academics. Topics covered will explore factors that influence decision making for older patients, their families and health professionals. Also, explore how decisions can be complicated by resource availability, decline in decision making abilities and concordance, models of care, availability of support networks and values pertinent to decision making. This event is free and hosted by the School of Nursing and Midwifery, UCC.
